This is the time of year, for a couple of days at least anyway, that folks Stateside think about nothing but being with the family, turkey dinners, and that strange stop-start American Football game. You don't expect to hear anything sicnificant from that part of the world around this time of year.

Not so.

Yesterday, Fellow XPager Jeremy Hodge announced the 'soft launching' of a new app that allows you to take long URLs and shorten them so that they can be copied and pasted elsewhere, like Twitter posts. The real cool thing about Jeremy's app is that it's done in XPages.

So it's no more using other URL shorteners for me  - I'm using from now on.
