Massive saving on XPages Book

Matt White, Oct 4, 2010 12:43:04 PM

We've been contacted by IBM Press and Amazon to let us know that the upcoming Mastering XPages: A Step-by-Step Guide to XPages Application Development and the XSP Language is available for pre-order with a whopping 37% discount at the moment. I suspect the book is going to be very good, give that it's written by people who work on core XPages development inside IBM so if you're looking for an XPages book then this will definitely be a good bet.

Hmm. Not released until Lotusphere according to amazon.com (or the week before according to amazon.co.uk). Here's hoping for a Kindle edition ... assuming I've bought a Kindle by then.

OMG, IBM doesn't get, do they?

They are loosing big time against MS and the one technology, that could change the game, is badly documented since the beginning, good Informations mainly available in private blogs and what does IBM do?

Release a book for normally 60$ ?
God damn it - MS is offering all that for free, plus loads of free training videos - why does IBM makes it so hard to stay commited to notes?

We already cancelled our "The View" subscription, let's see if my boss will fund this book...

Best regards
Mario

I don't know I'm afraid, I'm hopeful myself as I've taken to getting all my techie books on the Kindle app on the iPad. I'll let you know if we hear either way.

Matt, do you know if it will be available as an e-book (I am starting to put all my techy books on the Kindle now). Richard
